The CDCP is tailored specifically for Canadian residents who do not have access to private dental insurance and have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000. To qualify, you must also ensure your tax returns have been filed for the previous year.
Because the plan is designed to support families across various income brackets, your level of coverage will depend directly on your adjusted family net income. Our administrative team at Maple Ridge Dental Centre will work closely with you to map out your benefits, ensuring you completely understand your out-of-pocket responsibilities, if any.
The federal program utilizes the following co-payment framework:
- Income under $70,000: The CDCP covers 100% of eligible dental costs (0% patient co-payment).
- Income between $70,000 and $79,999: The CDCP covers 60% of eligible costs (40% patient co-payment).
- Income between $80,000 and $89,999: The CDCP covers 40% of eligible costs (60% patient co-payment).

For eligible CDCP-covered services, Maple Ridge Dental Centre currently accepts the CDCP-established fee and does not charge patients the difference between our regular fees and the CDCP-established fees. Patients remain responsible for any applicable CDCP co-payments and charges for services not covered by the CDCP.
